Policies and Procedures

 
  • In terms of the contract the client will be responsible to provide sufficient food, cleaning supplies and any other electrical appliances that may be required during the visit.

  • We will not be held responsible for any accident or illness that your pets may incur during our service, provided that these are not caused due to our own negligence.

  • In the event that your pets do get ill during our service period, we will transport them to your preferred vet. This will be free of charge however, we will not be held liable for any Veterinary bills.

  • We will not be held responsible for any harm caused to your pets, or for any damage inflicted to your property when you are not there, provided that this is not due to our own negligence or if the damage was caused by any other person having access to the property during our service.

  • We will take no responsibility for the normal electrical failures and the damage associated with it, that may occur during our service. 

  • We will not be held responsible for any damage or theft that may have incurred during our service, provided it was outside the sitter's control and not due to his/her own negligence.

  • You shall be liable for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the pet sitter caused by the pet, given that the pet was not provoked. 

  • You agree that you will provide us with detailed information regarding your home and pets, as well as what procedure you would want to follow in order to collect keys and what roles any other parties (e.g. neighbors) might have to play during our service.

  • Our office hours will be from 8 am to 8 pm. You may either phone or email us to make a reservation and we will strive to reply within 24 hours. Note that we are all still students and will sometimes have class and practicals and would thus not always be available to answer straight away. 

  • Visiting hours are not set in stone and will have to be communicated between the client and the pet sitter. A strict code of conduct will be followed to assure that the pet sitter complies with these times.

  • All payments must be made 48 hours in advance. If bookings or changes are to be made any time later than this an additional fee will need to be paid. No refunds will be given, however, we will still provide the full service value to you at a future point in time not to exceed 2 months from the date of purchase.

  • All of our rates and fees can be accessed through our website.

  • The method of payment will be based on inter-account transfers, and the banking details will be communicated with the client via email as soon as a quote is requested. This is in order to protect both parties' privacy. 

  • Our Privacy Policy protects our clients in that we will not at any time disclose any information to a third party. 

  • Important! Should the above not be complied with by the client, Royal Vet Pet Sitters will not be held liable for any problems which might occur during our service to either your house or your pets.
